Timber Treatment: Rot and Infestation

Dry Rot and Wet Rot
Fungal decay can spread rapidly through a building. Dry Rot (Serpula lacrymans) is particularly aggressive, as it can travel through masonry to reach new timber sources. Wet Rot is more localised but equally destructive to the wood it inhabits.
Our Process: We remove affected timber, sterilise the surrounding areas with fungicidal masonry treatments, and replace the wood with pre-treated, high-quality timber.

Small flight holes or piles of fine "frass" (dust) are often the first signs of a woodworm problem. We treat infestations of the Common Furniture Beetle, Deathwatch Beetle, and House Longhorn Beetle using low-odour, water-based insecticides that provide long-term protection against re-infestation.
